Live via my iPhone and Flixwagon...

Well, it was Live. I grab my iPhone which was the closest thing to me. Terrence is getting pretty tall and he walks around on his tip toes, so that give him another couple of inches. Nowadays, he grabs whatever he can carry and uses it as a step stool to increase his reach. Here he is trying to get the to keyboard and mouse that we pushed back away from him. His car seat, which are like the Britax Marathon, he is already on the last set of holes. Does that mean he'll have to go to a booster seat once he grows pass that last hole? Way too fast!

Working from home and infomercial...

So working from home has a lot of advantages. Besides being able to watch your baby grow up and be able to take a break to play with him whenever he's being too cute, I also get to have the TV on to keep me company. With the Olympics on for the last two weeks, it means I was tuned in to NBC and watching their awesome coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. This is wonderful on the dual monitor computer when I don't have a need for work to take up the second monitor.

This morning, I was watching the Today show and afterwards saw a infomercial for a hair shampoo/conditioner that is interesting. I know infomercial products are a dime a dozen by I was wondering if any of you have tried out the product. According to the creator, ordinary shampoo clean your hair by using chemical that not only remove the dirt but also the natural oils that keeps your hair beautiful. Then one would apply conditioner afterwards to help repair some of the damage done by shampoo.

There is a new product call Wren which uses natural ingredients to clean your hair without the damage. Sounds pretty typical of any new hair product. But the infomercial was well done. So give it a watch and let me know if you have had any experience with this product or know of any other hair product that is great and want to share.

Enjoying the weather...

The weather was pretty nice today here in San Diego so as soon as Terrence woke up and ate lunch, father and son headed out to the local park. Terrence had a blast playing with the sand and just explore like all little kids do. I left him be while I practiced properly exposing him with the full daytime sun. Some fill flash on and off camera to balanced out the shadow side and pop the colors. Once Terrence looked a little tired, I check the time and it was 5PM. How time flies when you're having fun. We went home to get cleaned up and Terrence took his usual afternoon nap.

Missing child...

Julie kisses me goodbye, leaving her precious little boy in my care. Terrence taking it as a cue start waving goodbye to his mommy. He follows her as she leaves the room and head off to work. Generally, after seeing his mom off at the stairs, he comes running back into the room where I am or go and contently play in his little play area.

This morning was different. After about 5 minutes of not hearing a peep from him, my paternal instinct kicked in and I went looking for him. To ensure he is safe and not getting into too much trouble. I started by checking each open room upstairs. Didn't hear him nor see him. Now that he can go downstairs aptly by himself, he would occasionally wander down there. So I go downstairs. I still don't hear him nor see him. Hmmm...did I miss him upstairs? Did he lock himself somewhere? Did his mom take him with her?!? nah...that can't be.

I returned upstairs. This time, checking each of the closed rooms and bathrooms. Still not there so I doubled back on the open rooms again... this time, paying attention to the nooks and cranny that little boys his age love to get into. In the master bedroom, I was checking the bath area when I heard the slightest of sound. That's enough for my perk ears to triangulate his position. This is what I saw and I quickly grabbed the camera at hand to capture this moment. Who would know that I was walking back and forth and miss him entirely behind my guitar. The little monster stayed quiet and stealthy, knowing full well I was looking for him and his diaper loaded with poop. If I had Julie's nose, perhaps I could have sniffed him out.

Wonder where the little monster is?

Are you beginning to see a pattern in his facial expression once he gets caught doing what he's doing?

Terrence on the slide

Last Sat, we woke up and decided to go get some Pho for breakfast. Afterwards, I wanted to let Terrence play a little bit on the slide while I tested out my new point and shoot camera, the Canon G9.

I will embed a video from that session and upload it to Viddler. You should be able to comment at any point in the video and it will display as others are watching the video. Pretty cool use of social network.

Sat morning stroll

We went out to Carlsbad for the grand opening of the Apple store.
There was so much excitement and I love watching good branding at
work. Check out qik.com/dazex for a couple of short clips from this
morning. (update to add...Well, that didn't work. Only 2sec of the video made it to the Qik server. Now gonna test out Flixwagon instead) Qik allows me to stream video live from my phone. You can
subscribe to get notified when I go live and even interact with me by
asking questions and making comments.

Afterwards, we walked over to Anthropologie were Julie found a cute
top she can wear now and after she delivers. Again, love the branding
and how the packaging makes you feel. That's why we put a lot of
thought into our packaging design and how I serve my own clients.
